KCMO Solid Waste Services
KCMO has changed the Bulky Item Pickup and Brush Drop Off services.
Effective August 1, 2008, residents who utilize the brush drop off service are limited to a maximum number of drop offs. Residents can drop up to 5 lawn bags per week; however, they are limited to 2 car/truck loads per year. The city will use a database to monitor usage.
Residents can utilize the service beyond these limits for additional charges. For questions, please call 311 or 816-513-1313. You can also view the new requirements online at:

Bulky Item Collection Program
KCMO has changed the Bulky Item Pickup and Brush Drop Off services.
Effective September 1, 2008, residents are now required to make an appointment for Bulky Item pickup. The city is stressing that they will only pick up “Bulky Waste” – not bags or boxes.
To schedule a pickup call 311 or 816-513-1313 at least 48 hours in advance. Details available at:

KC Recycles – Your Curbside Recycling Program
KC Recycles is Kansas City’s curbside recycling and household waste disposal program. By recycling, residents can recover reusable materials from the waste stream and reduce waste disposal costs.
KC Recycles collects recyclables every week on the same day trash is collected.
