KCMO Codes
Our common goal is that everyone in our neighborhood keep up their houses and property thus improving our neighborhood, protecting property values, and helping to promote a healthy, safe environment in which to live. We ask that you do your part.
The following links provide information about the KCMO codes.
In KCMO…
- What is a code violation?
- What is being a good neighbor?
- Who do I contact with questions about code violations?
If you live in Western Hills, you can contact any Board member about code violations, for guidance and assistance in reporting them or for any other questions you may have.
Please contact the Western Hills Homes Association Board with any code violations that you are aware of in the neighborhood, so the board can help you respond.

community action network (CAN) centers
Every CAN center houses a code enforcement officer from the city’s Neighborhood Preservation Division and one or more KCPD police officers. These representatives partner with residents and neighborhood leaders to improve the livability of the neighborhood. CAN centers were developed as part of the Community Policing Initiative and have a wide range of partners including some of the following: Local Initiative Support Corporation, Kansas City Neighborhood Alliance, Probation and Parole, MOVE UP, Division of Family Services, COMBAT, local ROTC groups and members of the business community.
